Full footed stomping, up against the wall, all out blues/rock band. The band has the classic influences, from the Kings, Freddie and BB, plenty of those divinely muscular riffs and some of these leads can be heard as they entertain their audiences.
Throughout their careers, the members had all been playing in other bands but wanted to do something different from the usual and from this …the Wilmas were formed.. The Wilmas wasn’t supposed to be a long-term venture, just a place to blow off some musical steam; a different creative outlet. But once the music started, there was no way back.
The Wilmas are now a full stomping, up against the wall, blues-rock band based in Beeton and Toronto, Their members include Judy Brown on guitar and lead vocals, Joanne Green on guitar, Moe Laverty on drums and Sarah Butterworth on bass guitar.
The Schomberg Fair is excited to announce that the Wilmas, will be making their way to Schomberg Fair to perform on Saturday May 24 2014 to appear on the main stage following Opening Ceremonies.
