What the Community & Agricultural Arena means to the Schomberg Agricultural Society during the Annual Spring Fair

The arena and the land that surrounds it is a vital part of our fair as much as the fair grounds are.

Not only do they allow our fair goers, exhibitors and our parade to enter off Western Avenue. It also houses our large home craft displays, allows us parking for our live-stock shows and room to hold children’s activities in an safe area.

The HOMECRAFT EXHIBITS takes up the entire lower floor of the arena (Ice Surface) with displays of needlework, baking, flowers, photography and mostly important the Children’s work from the Schools in the area.

The Homecraft committee also uses the booth to serve homemade pies and sandwiches to the fair goer. Giving them a space to sit and relax before enjoying the rest of the fair

PARKING: Without the parking around the arena we could not accommodate all the Transport Vehicles necessary to put on either the Heavy Horse Show, or the Beef and Dairy Shows .

Not only do the agricultural livestock shows need this park-ing but the World’s Finest Midway Shows use part of the parking lot for their bunk houses. By keeping their bunk house close we can ensure safety of their homes and rides.

Also during the Fair the parking lot in front of the Arena is used for local groups to promote their organization along with King Township groups such as the Fire Department with their Smoke Houses promote Fire Safety.
