Schomberg Fair – May 29-31, 2026
Mark your calendars – the Schomberg Agricultural Spring Fair is back for year 176! From May 29-31, the fairgrounds in the heart of downtown Schomberg come alive once again with the sights, sounds, and flavours that make this one of Ontario’s most beloved community events. This year’s theme, Hay Bales & Cow Tails, celebrates the agricultural roots and rural spirit that have defined this fair for generations.
Whether you’re here for the thrills, the music, the livestock, or just a great day out with the family, there’s something for everyone across the full three-day weekend.
Friday Night – Start with a Bang
The fair kicks off Friday evening with gates opening at 5:00 PM. The Albion Amusements midway fires up, the beer tent opens down in the Derby Pit, and at 7:00 PM it’s the moment everyone waits for – the Demolition Derby. Schomberg’s biggest annual traffic accident returns to thrill the crowd with roaring engines and crashing metal. Once the dust settles, head over for Outlaw State of Mind, a high-energy Chris Stapleton tribute act taking the stage at 9:30 PM to close out an unforgettable opening night.
Saturday – The Heart of the Fair
Saturday is the full fair experience. Gates open at 9:00 AM, vendors set up, and the midway and Homecraft Hall both open at 11:00 AM. The day begins with the beloved Grand Parade on Main Street, followed by Opening Ceremonies on the main stage at noon.
The entertainment keeps coming all afternoon:
- DooDoo the Clown brings his high-energy, family-friendly show to the main stage at 1:00 PM and again at 3:30 PM
- The Children’s Pedal Pull at 1:30 PM is always a crowd favourite for the younger set
- Cowboy Mounted Shooting hits the show ring at 3:00 PM, followed by a Rusty Jade Ranch Rodeo Demo at 4:00 PM – not to be missed
- The Bavarian Garden opens at noon in the beer tent, with Bill Nadeau performing live
- Saturday night wraps up with Beautiful Crazy, a Luke Combs tribute band performing at 8:00 PM
Sunday – Family, Animals & Fun
Sunday brings the agricultural heart of the fair front and centre. The show ring fills with competition as the Beef & Junior Beef Show, 4H Dairy Cattle Show, and Junior Dairy & Junior Beef Cattle Shows all take place through the morning. Animal lovers will also enjoy the Rabbit & Cavy Show starting at 10:00 AM.
On the main stage, Aaron Matthews opens the day at 10:30 AM with his signature blend of magic, laughter, and the impossible, and DooDoo the Clown returns at 11:00 AM for another family show.
The afternoon is packed with community fun:
Family Fun Events at 11:30 AM, the always-entertaining
Baby Show (registration at noon, show at 1:00 PM), and the
Pet & Mutt Show at 1:30 PM – a highlight for kids and dog owners alike. The day wraps up with
Homecraft awards at 3:00 PM, celebrating the incredible talent on display all weekend in the Homecraft Hall.
